Recruiting prison leavers

The New Futures Network (NFN) is a specialist part of Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service, brokering partnerships between prisons and employers in England and Wales. It upholds that “these partnerships help businesses fill skills gaps and prison leavers find employment”.

On 21 October, the Ministry of Justice will be hosting a free interactive virtual summit to support businesses who are interested in recruiting people on release from prison.  It says that with many businesses currently experiencing skills gaps, the summit is a timely opportunity to hear first-hand from employers who have significantly benefitted from recruiting prison leavers.

Businesses that are interested in recruiting people on release from prison to help alleviate their staffing shortage will hear from hospitality employers including Greggs and Greene King about the business benefits and how they can go about employing prison leavers.

Businesses can book to attend using this link.
