Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng MP has announced he will be cancelling planned increases in duty rate rises for beer, wine and spirits. 

This was confirmed in his mini-budget on 23 September 2022, along with an 18-month transitional measure for wine duty.

The government is also set to extend draught relief to cover smaller kegs of 20 litres and above, ‘to help smaller breweries’.
