Eat Out to Help Out takes off – webinars to help businesses

HM Treasury has published figures that show that there has been a high take-up of the Eat Out to Help Out initiative, with 83,000 business premises signed up to the scheme and 10.5m covers claimed for in the first week. Many parks groups and restaurant chains are taking part – there is still time to register.

You can use the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme:

  • all day, every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 to 31 August 2020
  • to offer a 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner)
  • to the claim the money back from the government.

There is no limit to the number of times customers can use the offer during the period of the scheme.  Alcohol and service charges are excluded.

During August there are free webinars for businesses – these cover: eligible establishments; registering; claiming; and what happens next. See available dates and register here.
