Evolution at Victory Leisure Homes with the launch of its new eco holiday home range

Victory Leisure Homes has unveiled its first concept for a new range of holiday homes – Evolution by Victory – which it says will cut energy costs in half and take holiday parks one step closer to off-grid status. The first prototype model will be previewed at the Great Holiday Home Show on 8th – 10th September.

Victory’s research and innovation team have designed a solution to the industry’s environmental impact, while eliminating the need for a costly investment in infrastructure upgrades.

The company’s innovative Next Generation Novus construction method has enabled the integration of the latest green technology solutions to perform at optimum efficiency.

Ten solar panels are built into the roof, which generate enough power to save over £1,000 a year on energy bills per unit, while an integrated wastewater heat recovery system saves water to the extent that one in every three showers could be free.

Features also include:

  • Hybrid glazing meaning thermal insulation is over 34% more efficient than current lodge standards require
  • A shower water saving device saves £465 in running costs, 68,000 litres of water and 2,220kW hours of energy per year
  • A 54% more efficient composite floor
  • A 100% efficient electric boiler meaning the elimination of gas bottles
  • The tongue and groove, moisture-resistant wall system enables improved heat retention and the hollow ceiling plank sections increase thermal performance
  • In-wall ‘I’ beam uprights enable 57% higher thermal efficiency and 30% improvement in acoustic properties
  • 85% of all soft furnishings and fabrics made from recyclable materials

Steve Bulliment, research and innovation director at Victory said: “By combining our Next Generation Novus construction technique, recycled materials and world-leading smart technology, we’ve created a truly one-of-a-kind eco innovation that’s virtually off-grid. This really is the future of the staycation.”

James Doyle, CEO of Victory continued: “I’ve lost count of the amount of holiday park owners I have spoken to over the last few years who have been desperate to enhance sustainability from a perspective of both social responsibility and to give customers what they want. This has been an expensive process with previous technology, meaning the new sites must still be hooked up to existing infrastructure.

“However, the solution is here. I am so proud of our research and innovation team for the countless hours of hard work they have put into Evolution by Victory and can’t wait to see it make its mark on the holiday industry.”
