Latest version of VisitBritain’s sentiment tracker published

VisitEngland, VisitScotland and Visit Wales have released Wave 37 of the sentiment tracker, which covers the fieldwork period from 9-13 August 2021.

The latest report shows growing confidence in the ability to take a trip in the UK in September or October, but only a small proportion of respondents expect a return to normality by the end of the year.

The top reason for not feeling confident about taking an overnight trip in the UK in summer remains the fear of catching COVID, but concerns about personal finances figure more prominently when considering travelling in the autumn.

The research also covers reasons for not having booked a trip and looks ahead to the most popular regions for upcoming trips – the South West remains the most popular, with Yorkshire & the Humber in second place.
