This year sees an extra bank holiday for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

May Bank Holiday Weekend moves to Thursday 2 June 2022 with the additional day off added on 3 June.

Depending on how the employment contracts are worded, staff may or may not be entitled to the time off as a paid bank holiday, or they may need to use some of their main holiday allowance to accommodate it.
