Welsh parks – VistWales logo and school holidays

VisitWales asks: “Are you displaying the correct grading plaque at your establishment and electronic logo on your website?”

While many businesses have taken advantage of the free replacement signage featuring the Cymru Wales brand, VisitWales says there are still those that are displaying the old signs both at their premises and online with the wrong electronic logo (on their websites). “Displaying the old signs can make your establishment look out of date and outside the Visit Wales branding family.”

In order to replace your sign, or to access the correct logo for your website, please email quality.tourism@gov.wales.

Welsh school holidays – the Minister for Education and Welsh Language released a Written Statement on 30 June regarding work on the reform of school holidays in Wales.  While he ruled out changes to the overall number of holidays or reducing the summer break to two or three weeks, the Minister committed to a formal public consultation on the issue during the next academic year.

Recognising that there may be questions regarding the work around the structure of the school year, including how this might impact your sector, VisitWales will be engaging with relevant businesses, both directly and through policy colleagues in the Welsh Government.
